The Blue Zone Project.
The aim is to cover the county of Kent with Blue Zones - areas served by a fleet of mini-buses providing purpose built transport for the disabled and disadvantaged in the local community.
We now have our first bus a LDV Convoy 16 seat minibus. Based in Medway this bus will be available to the local community for use on weekdays. On matchdays we will be providing assistance to mobility impared supporters by arranging travel from a designated parking place to Priestfield Staduim.
The bus was purchased from funds raised at the Dinner Dance at Priestfield in September 2003. A list of the sponsors is proudly displayed on the back of the bus.
Matchday Parking.
If you travel by car or live near Priestfield you will be well aware of the restricted parking around the ground. On matchdays many supporters find that the few parking spaces available near the ground are full by 1pm and by 2pm most roads within a mile are full.
The trust is currently discussing various options that will provide additional parking within walking distance of Priestfield.
Let us know how the Trust can make the difference.
The trust projects team co-ordinate fundraising and identify areas where a supporters trust could make a positive contribution.
If you have any suggestions please use this report form.
All suggestions will be listed below and discussed at the next commitee meeting.

Matchday Commentator.
How about getting together with Radio Kent to sponsor a competition to find 'the new Brian Moore' matchday commentator?
Aimed primarily at young supporters two or, three young people could be allowed to commentate on a game early on during the season for 5/10 minutes with listeners encouraged to vote for the best effort.
The winner would receive a coverted trophy by Mrs Moore at the end of the season.

Billboards at train stations or town centres.
The profile of the club has to be raised throughout Medway and the surrounding area, for example Dartford, Gravesend, Strood etc. This could be done with billboards at train stations or town centres.
9 April 2003
Road signage from the M2 junction 4 and also the A2/M2 junction route via the Medway Tunnel.
My company had their Christmas dinner/dance at the ground, people attended from across Europe. Everyone was pleasantly surprised at the excellent standard of the facilities on offer, but, commented that it was made more difficult to find due to the lack of road signs. Commercially this puts other business venues ahead of Priestfield.
Update 18 April 2003 Paul Scally on Radio Kent - "The council have now agreed to put up signage for us. We are just agreeing final signage and pricing. It will be up for next season".
3 April 2003
"Buy/sponsor a seat campaign”. The idea would be for companies/individuals to sponsor specific seats in the new Brian Moore Stand.

Provision of matchday transport for disabled supporters.
